Intentional living is a practice of making thoughtful, examined choices. It involves becoming aware of the tendency to live life on autopilot and to assume—often incorrectly—that somehow, along the way, we should have picked up the knowledge and skills we need to live a successful and peaceful existence.
Counseling is a learning process that begins with the nurturing of self-awareness. By challenging the conditioned responses of autopilot and overtly identifying and becoming schooled in the skills we have yet to learn, we can live a life that is more purposeful.
Using a combination of exploration and education, cognitive-behavioral principles and social-emotional skill building, we will collaborate together to help you achieve a better understanding of yourself, your strengths and challenges, and the competencies and insights that will help you to maximize your social and emotional health.
